We're all craving nourishment, both physical and mental, now more than ever. What are motivating self-care steps linked to mind-body and spirit wellness? Are meditation and yoga the key? Can what we eat serve as a companion or catalyst to achieving desired wholeness? Join Ronly Blau, an esteemed yoga instructor for more than two decades, as she shares the story of her path from dealing with a decades-long chronic illness to her vibrant interest, practice, and study of yoga and Ayurveda, often called the sister science to yoga. This ancient holistic cleansing method can lead to renewed vitality and clarity of mind.
As a yoga instructor leading both individual and group classes, Ronly is also co-author of The Mind-Body Cleanse, a thoughtful guide sharing steps to more healthful and mindful living. Written with Adrian Nowland, the book includes more than 100 recipes featuring traditional healing foods from India to guide anyone through the process of cleaning and strengthening their digestive system as well as tips for stress management and renewed vitality. We'll learn about using to seasonal and local ingredients to pursue the Ayurveda nutritional path.
As a bonus for this meeting, Dame Bridget Charters will prepare several recipes from Ronly Blau's book. Bring a non-alcoholic beverage or a bottle of wine to share and be ready for a stimulating discussion.
Cost: $35 per person. (You are also welcome to bring cash or a check to contribute to the basket collection going towards Les Dames Seattle scholarships.)
