About South Seattle College Wine Technology Program:
This program is a first in Western Washington and complements our well regarded and award winning Culinary Arts program. We offer three certificate programs. Eventually these options will be expanded to offer degree programs with transferable credits to four-year institutions.
The wine classes are designed to educate and inform individually, for students who are just getting a start in the wine industry or professionals who need information on current trends and to enhance their skills. We offer one class or a series of classes towards attaining a certificate in winemaking, wine marketing and sales, or food and wine pairing.
Mira Kochel: My passion for a rich full life includes good food and wine. In 2012, I enrolled in the South Seattle Community College Culinary School. In 2014, I will earn an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Culinary Art with a Certificate in Wine and Food Pairing. I hope to continue my studies over seas, and after that apply what I have learned to bring joy to those I serve.
