What does it take to launch a thriving food business or a restaurant or a distillery in Seattle and keep it running successfully or even expanding it? What does it take to close a business and/or transition into another direction? This special meeting will feature a panel of Les Dames food pros ready to share their insights about food businesses, from establishing a restaurant to managing (and closing)one, to establishing a hugely successful pizza restaurant chain and an award-winning distillery. Sharing their insights for this special meeting are:
Dame Karen Binder-founder and former owner of Madison Park Cafe, now owner of Binder's Bottles
Dame Suzanne Cameron-founder and owner of Cameron Catering
Dame Jamie Hunt-founder/owner, and primary distiller of Fast Penny Spirits
Dame Leslie Mackie-founder of Macrina Bakeries & Cafes (current LDES President)
Dame Dorene Centioli McTigue-founder/former owner of Pagliacci Pizza
Panelists will describe highlights and surprises learned from opening (and closing, if applicable.) and there will also be time for audience questions with follow-up answers from the appropirate panelist.
