Panel Discussion: Seattle Chefs Discuss Solutions to Workplace Challenges

Date: Monday, April 25, 2022 - 5:30PM (PDT)

Pre-registration required!

Note: Details for the Zoom link will be emailed to you after you complete your registration, about two days before the event.

How are chefs managing staff conflicts in their workplaces? What does it take to identify and address source causes, and then work to dismantle toxic HR issues? Occurrences may be fewer lately, but what solutions work to insure incidents are vanquished before they happen? An all-star panel of Seattle-area chefs will discuss these challenges and focus on positive outcomes in frank and constructive conversation. To help owners and staff assume accountability, they will offer ideas to raise awareness, identify toxic behaviors, create options, and share workable solutions to prevent and/or improve a toxic workplace.

Panelists

Chef Holly Smith - Cafe Juanita - Kirkland

Chef Tamara Murphy - Terra Plata - Seattle

Chef Shubert Ho - Feedme Hospitality & Restaurant Group - Edmonds

Chef Stuart Lane - Spinasse - Seattle

Chef Ethan Stowell - Ethan Stowell Restaurants - Seattle

Moderator - Chef Bridget Charters - Hot Stove Society - Seattle

NOTE: Donations from the March 2022 LDES meeting were gratefully received and do not need to be repeated for April, unless desired. Thank you!
